Hibiya finishes his shopping after getting caught up in the riot that Momo Kisaragi caused. What he bought was a present for Hiyori, a girl he has feelings for. An elated Hibiya gives it to Hiyori, but his overture is rebuffed with a curt "I don't want it." Plus, even though he thought he'd be spending time alone with Hiyori when they came from the country to the big city to stay at the home of her uncle, a man named Tateyama, they find a strange boy who calls himself Konoha there.
